Brian Mallonee is a board certified criminal trial lawyer. Certification is the highest level of evaluation conducted by the Florida Bar with respect to the experience and skill of an attorney in a particular field. The Certification process is selective. As of 2009, there are approximately 400 lawyers in Florida who are board certified in criminal trial law. This is equal to less than 1% of all Florida lawyers. There are fewer than 10 board certified criminal trial specialists whos offices are located in the 19th Judicial Circuit, which include St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee counties.
Brian H. Mallonee attended the University of Florida and graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminology, the scientific study of crime. While an undergraduate, Mr. Mallonee interned at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. He also worked as a licensed Intern Private Investigator, regularly conducting criminal investigations. He went off to study the law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
